Even when things go awry, happiness is within us – it’s just our baseline that changes temporarily. I kind of like the way he explains it.

Comment on Happiness – Are You On The Right Path? by Liz Delaney http://johnclogan.com/?p=1780#comment-266 Wed, 01 Oct 2014 00:07:32 +0000 http://johnclogan.com/?p=1780#comment-266 Very interesting post John. Isn’t it interesting that great philosophers, even from a long time ago, have virtually the same message? I find it so, anyhow.
It’s also interesting that as we grow older we realise that happiness is not necessarily found in having material possessions, but is found freely when doing good for others.

I like the part where none of them involve $$$. I do my best to stay happy in everything my friend.

All of them have value, and none need cause you embarrassment or shame. Thanks for this, John!

Comment on Is It The Tools?…… by Liz Delaney http://johnclogan.com/?p=1772#comment-254 Tue, 16 Sep 2014 23:16:52 +0000 http://johnclogan.com/?p=1772#comment-254 I enjoyed reading your post John. It reminded me of a saying my father was always quoting – “A Bad Workman Always Blames His Tools”. I grew up with that phrase and came to realise early on in life that if you do a job, you do it properly and do what it takes until it is done.
Cheers
Liz

A tool you don’t know how to use, or don’t have the awareness of its value is just wasted energy and effort. Wow…that applies to a lot of things!

It’s a good idea to stay focused, review what may work best for you and follow that path. If it’s not working, then shift, but don’t overwhelm yourself by trying to do everything at once. One step at a time.

I’ve made the mistake many times using this as my excuse but have learned I can do anything I WANT to do no matter what kind of tools I have I my disposal. BOOM!

When we think back to what we have overcome or achieved, it is all down to some type of attitude that we have had and applied to the situation at hand. it is necessary to dig deep, though, if you want to change your attitude to one more positive. Thank goodness there are people who are available to help with this positive mindset training. It is working for me, but something I need to stick with on a daily basis.
