Strategies Of An Internet Marketing Business

While planning or reviewing our business plan, we need to

look at the model or format in which we follow in which to

come up with the most constructive plan possible.


There are 4 basic ideas in which we will work with and attempt

to come up with a plan that is feasible and practical at the same

time.  There are probably many more ideas that one could come

up with to be included in this list, but for now we will work with

these four.


1) Clarity  – have a clear picture of where you want to end up and then have a clear picture as to how you are going to get there.

Sounds simple, yet this whole process of being clear in your vision is one of the main reason why someone gets into an overload mode or may experience burn out because they have no clear vision.

Steven Covey, the author of many books in the management area suggested: “seek first to understand and then to be understood.”

Communication is also one of the key factors in making a clear vision among leaders and workers within a company or business.


2) Strategy – defining your strategy or direction and making decisions on allocating your resources to pursue this strategy.  Some think that strategy is to figure out where you will be in 5 to 10 years, whereas there is a need to figure where you are now and in the immediate future.

Things are running and going so quickly today, that not planning for the present and the immediate future could create a big problem.

This is why a good strategy is a carefully worked out plan with plenty of communication involving all parties.

You want to also make a strategy an actionable step to follow on a daily basis.  The ability to have it on a regular basis, makes it become a habit after a short period of time of around 21 days.


3) Simple Plan   – the ole KISS plan of keeping it simple applies very strongly to an internet marketing business mainly because you are trying to get people involved who have not necessarily been in marketing before their entrance into the internet marketing arena.

Obviously a simple plan might be in the minds of the beholder, but in reality it has to be somewhat simple for most of the members to be able to follow on a regular basis.  Now when referring to simple, I mean the ability to follow along the process of learning the program and then working the program.  It is the working of the program that usually separates the has beens with the going to haves.


4) Action  – perhaps the most profound part of the whole process because this is where it usually separates the real winners from those who can’t figure out what happened.  

David J. Swartz in his book “The Magic Of Thinking Big” was very emphatic when he said: “Life is too short to waste.  Dreams are fulfilled only through action, not through endless planning to take action.”

Taking action even when you don’t know the whole process is okay to do.  In this arena of internet marketing, one learns as they go along or as they earn.  That doesn’t mean you can’t be successful, you sure can be.  In fact, many of the great leaders of marketing will tell you that the greatest part of their education was in the doing.
