Many of us, when we begin our stake in the internet marketing arena, are faced with a stumbling block – one that many of us never think of, taking the initiative to getting started. Just doing it!
I went to the primary care physician because I was having trouble with my right knee. It was slightly sore and I was having some swelling around my ankle, so I felt it necessary to have it examined. It did not bother me while I was snow skiing but it became a constant annoyance rather than down right painful.
After having an examination, a couple of x-rays taken and then read by the radiologist, the PA (physician’s assistant) told me it was pseudo-gout. Which in laymen’s terms means, it looks like gout but really isn’t, and so in actuality they don’t know what it is.
What I am getting to is the fact that many of us, myself included, prepare thoroughly by taking all kinds of webinars and classes to getting the latest up to date material that is available so we can, in turn, hit the path of success in the internet marketing arena. I got to a point that I was watching so many webinars that I didn’t have enough time to properly implement what I needed to do. I was spending too much time preparing and not enough time actually putting into practice what I was suppose to be doing.
Perhaps this was on a subconscious level that I was preparing to get ready to prepare what I needed to do. BUT I was never actually doing the things that I was taught – TAKE ACTION. I was taking the greatest notes in the world but not implementing them. Was I doing this on purpose and was I afraid that I was not ready to do the things necessary to become successful? Was this fear of failure or fear of not being ready? I don’t know, but wherever it seemed to be was the sabotaging of one’s self.
Mark Hoverson said something on one of his interesting tours of the internet. He said that when he learned something new and really good, he would immediately apply it. Not wait until he felt it was time, but right away. I wonder why he is so successful?
Franco Gonzalaz suggested that many use many excuses to keep themselves from even trying internet marketing. They would rather use excuses than put themselves into a situation that might completely change their lives.
Are you a pseudo marketer? That is, does everything you do, set you up to look like a marketer but when it comes down to it, you just aren’t a marketer, you are a pseudo marketer. You look like a marketer and have everything ready to go, all the fundamentals and all the right courses under your belt but something just doesn’t feel right or just doesn’t look right — yep – you are a pseudo marketer!!!
Do you relate this this scenario? Then what are you doing about it?
